Before you start playing, you need to create a new world for yourself. There are three different terrain types that you can choose from, after which you generate the world according to that terrain type. The third and last terrain is called Flying Blocks, which creates a flat surface with a ton of randomly flying blocks. The Flying Blocks terrain is nice for people who enjoy constructing things in the skies, which you can use the random flying blocks for. Next to the terrain types, you can also choose how small or large the terrain will be.
There are several options in the game, which enhances the gameplay. For starters, you can change the time of day, which means that you can set the in-game time to midnight, making your world dark. You can also change it to the afternoon hours, which will allow you to see your whole world. You can also enable or disable clouds, animated water and increase or decrease the draw distance. The last option in Exploration Lite is called Flying, which allows you to fly over your own world. This will allow you to transfer yourself faster over the terrain and allow you to see your world from above.a
